2013 Syrah From a Single Vineyard in Wilton in the Eden Valley
Eden Valley is the perfect playground for us to further explore our winemaking philosophy, which we describe as a ‘sensibility for tradition with a passion for innovation’. At a higher elevation than the Barossa Valley below, one can make even more diverse and seductive expressions of Syrah that speak of their unique sites. ‘Does your dog bite?’
Single Vineyard Location: Wilton, Eden Valley

A finely structured expression of Eden Valley Syrah, its textured palate supports complex cherry, earth and spice flavours. A wine for ‘grown-ups’, so undress it now if you’re feeling frisky, or in 8-10 years time if you’re looking for a sensual tryst.

Does Your Dog Bite
Single Vineyard Wilton Eden Valley Syrah 2013
Hand-picked, open-fermented, 50% whole bunches, 50% crushed/destemmed, 10 days on skins, fermentation finished and matured for 18 months in French puncheons (33% new). It is very elegant, yet even more lively and intense, red fruits and spice joining the darker side of the spectrum. Stemmy tannins are the cream on the cake.
